The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced that since 2027 the updated subject "Protection of Ukraine" will become mandatory for all high school students. This was reported by Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovy.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science, now about four thousand teachers teach updated discipline more than 280 thousand high school students - this is about 65% of the total number of students of this age category. Almost a thousand training centers have been created and equipped in Ukraine to provide appropriate classes.
“Ahead is zoom. Knowledge of safety, self -defense, medicine, information space is not just "additional preparation", it is a basic skill of modern man. For her sense of dignity and a bold look in her future in her country, ”the forest said.
The updated course covers not only traditional military topics, but also important aspects of medical care, information hygiene, cybersecurity and crisis response skills. The reform of the teaching of the subject aims to form resistance to the challenges of the modern world and understanding the key principles of national security.
The Ministry emphasizes that the introduction of new educational approaches to teaching defense literacy corresponds to topical challenges and is an important part of the formation of civic responsibility.
