Christmas storm: worsening weather in Britain threatens thousands of tourists

In Britain, flights, trains and ferries have been canceled due to the warning of meteorological management about the expected wind at a speed of up to 80 miles per hour (128 km/h). Four days before Christmas, hundreds of thousands of people abandoned their plans as hundreds of trains, ferries and flights were abolished.

In Scotland and in the north of England, some rail lines are closed due to the possible obstacles that the wind can blow on the rails. In other areas, speed limits have been introduced.

British Airways has canceled at least 24 flights, and the Scottish Airlines Loganair also suspended some of its flights. Many ferries remain in the port, and some rail lines in Scotland are completely closed due to a storm called "PIA".
