The lawyers of the former MP Vadim Nesterenko during a court session on the election of a preventive measure that took place in Kyiv on February 17, stated an attempt at extraprocessing influence and pressure from the prosecution. According to them, a lawyer who allegedly offered his help to Nesterenko was in fact related to NABU staff, and he was asked to participate in the provocation of Vitaliy Klitschko's bribe.
According to the information provided, in October 2024, after the suspicion was made, Nesterenko received a proposal from a lawyer who had ties with NABU. This lawyer allegedly guaranteed that participation in the bribery scheme would help Nesterenko avoid pressure on him by NABU and the SAP on the election of a preventive measure and retraining the case.
"Nesterenko was proposed to transfer the bribe of Klitschko, but the ex-People's Deputy had no such connections and the opportunity to implement such a proposal,"-said lawyers during the court hearing.
To confirm its words, the defense party provided a personal statement with Nesterenko, as well as screenshots of correspondence with a lawyer. One of the documents, in particular, contained a photocopy of a request for the election of a preventive measure, which was prepared by NABU detectives and SAP prosecutors in December 2024, that is, much earlier than it was filed.
Lawyers believe that these facts indicate the use of NABU and SAP to put pressure on Nesterenko. They consider it part of the extraprocessing pressure from law enforcement agencies, which has been ongoing since December 2024.
