Elon Musk's anti-Semitism: Famous advertisers ditch X (formerly Twitter)

Elon Musk and his social network X (formerly Twitter) came under fire for anti-Semitism and the placement of advertising posts alongside pro-Nazi posts, leading to the decision of leading companies to suspend advertising contracts with the platform.

Companies that have already taken part in the ad freeze on X include Warner Brothers Discovery, Paramount and Lionsgate. These steps have already led to a big loss for the social network, in particular, from Apple, which has stopped all cooperation with the social network.

The first step in removing the ad was taken by IBM, which is responding to accusations of pro-Nazi posts and hate speech. X CEO Linda Jaccarino says the platform pays a lot of attention to fighting anti-Semitism and discrimination.

This scandal was caused by a tweet by Elon Musk, in which he expressed support for the statement that "Jewish communities spread hatred against white people." This sparked online outrage and accusations of anti-Semitism, to which Musk attempted to respond by denying anti-Semitism and stating that his claim was true.

Despite X's claims of strong brand safety controls, advertisers and community groups point to rising levels of extremism and hate speech under Musk.
