Most Britons do not want to fight

One third of the British younger in 40 years would refuse the call in the event of an attack on the United Kingdom , the results conducted by the international company by the International Company of YouGov. According to a study, 38% of people under 40 would refuse to serve in the Armed Forces in the event of a New World War, and 30% stated that they would not serve, even if they were attacked.

The survey authors explained that this age category is the one that the British government first called for military service during the First and Second World Wars.

According to the results, only one in four surveyed (7%) claims that he would have been a volunteer in the event of World War, and 11% if the mainland part of the United Kingdom would be at risk.

It was also found that in the case of the World War II, 39-47% of men aged 18-40 would be ready to go to volunteers or take a call, compared to 19-24% of women of the same age.

However, women of conscript age are more likely to refuse to serve than men. 43% of women would refuse in the event of a world war (compared to 32% of men), and 35% - if the British islands are at risk (compared to 25% of men).

It is also worth noting that the majority of the population (72%) believes that women should serve. However, some of the respondents (42%) believe that women should serve in the same positions as men, while 30% believe that there should be some restrictions on the roles they can perform.

The conclusion of the survey points to the complex dynamics of military service and to support military companies among the British population, especially among young adults.
