Against the backdrop of numerous predictions in the West that the return of Trump to power in the United States will lead to a catastrophe and to stop Ukraine's support, the expression of Boris Johnson was suddenly supported by the expression of Britain.
He said Trump could be exactly what the world needs right now.
"We all need to grow up and get used to this perspective," the former British leader wrote on Friday in his weekly Daily Mail column.
"If he does the right thing and supports Ukrainians - and I believe that it will be - Trump's presidency can be a big victory for the world," Johnson added.
According to him, the world needs a leader, "whose willingness to use force and obvious unpredictability is a major restraining factor for the enemies of the West", which is an "enthusiast of the free market and capitalism" and which is interested in the "proper free trade agreement with Britain."
In his column, Johnson wrote that Trump was the first president of the United States to defend Ukraine, giving it in 2018 "those anti -tank means of Javelin" that were "so valuable" in the battle for Kiev.
"Because they don't talk about Trump President now, I cannot believe that he will want to go down in history as a president who has stopped supporting the country he has already helped," Johnson wrote.
