The relatives of Oleksiy Navalny have still not received his body and do not know exactly where it is. This is reported by supporters of the oppositionist who died in a Russian prison the other day.
Navalny's mother Lyudmila, who came to the colony where her son was held, was issued a certificate that the body was transported to the city of Salekhard, Navalny's press secretary Kira Yarmysh said.
However, according to her, this was not confirmed in the Salekhard morgue.
At the same time, the Investigative Committee informed the politician's supporters that they have the body, and new examinations were ordered to determine the cause of death.
At the same time, Yarmysh believes that the body is being hidden to "cover the tracks".
"Now it's clear that no matter what method they killed Oleksiy, this time they are trying to do the same thing: they hide his body to cover their tracks, and in such a terrible way they simply don't give him to his relatives," Navalny's press secretary said.
Officially, the Russian authorities did not comment on the location of the oppositionist's body.
