The KIIS survey data indicates the considerable interest of Ukrainians living in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic before obtaining citizenship of their residence countries. According to the results of the study.
45% of Ukrainians interviewed in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic want to obtain citizenship of another country, showing the KIIS survey data.
7% admitted that they already have citizenship of another country, and 12% have submitted documents and are waiting for decisions. 34% of respondents are not planned to receive new citizenship.
At the same time, most (66%) of Ukrainians living in these countries are rather or fully satisfied with their current conditions. 26% are dissatisfied.
12% explicitly stated that they did not intend to return to Ukraine. Others name the following conditions: normal work of critical infrastructure (34%), safety (34%), residential issues (26%), end of the war (26%).
Having analyzed this data, KIIS came to the conclusion that at best half of the refugees could return to Ukraine.
At the same time, the People's Deputy Venislavsky stated that some Ukrainians abroad after the entry into force of the Law on Mobilization will want to abandon the citizenship of Ukraine, but it will not "have a mass nature."
