The British BBC corporation has published an annual list of 100 most influential women in the world , who inspire their achievements and change the lives of others. In 2024, two Ukrainians came to the prestigious rating: Olga Rudneva, CEO of Lviv Superhumans Center, and farmer Olga Olefirenko.
Olga Rudneva is the founder and leader of the Superhumans Center, a modern trauma center in Lviv, which deals with limb prosthetics and rehabilitation. The center became a symbol of recovery for Ukrainians who suffered from war. Olga, along with the team, helped thousands of people return to an active life.
Among the successful stories of the patients of the Rudnev Center, she identified the example of Sergei Zhukovsky, who after the loss of both hands received modern prostheses, opened his own business and became a source of inspiration for others. "I would never have been on this list if it were not for the success of the Superhumans Center," Olga wrote in her post.
Farmer Olga Olefirenko began her business to honor the memory of her father, Yuri Olefirenko, commander of the 73rd Marine Center of Special Forces, who died in 2015. Initially, the woman faced the difficulties that she had to sell cattle, but did not leave her dreams.
Having made a business plan, Olga applied for financing to the Ukrainian Veterans Fund and created a modern farm using the latest technologies. It now provides workplaces for the local community and serves as an example of perseverance and faith in its own strength.
