Elina Svitolina shared her impressions of her successful performance at the WTA tournament 1000 in Rome, where she made his way to the quarterfinals. The Ukrainian beat the American Daniel Collins ( # 35 WTA), noting that the match was very difficult. Svitolina emphasized that it is always difficult to play against Collins, which shows a strong game, especially after her victory over Iga Svitolina. However, Svitolina was able to maintain the concentration both mentally and physically, which helped her win in two sets.
"It was difficult. Of course, it is not easy to play against Daniel. She hit the ball very well and just won IGA. So I tried to put strong pressure, be 100% concentrated - both mentally and physically," Svholin said.
She also noted that she was ready for further struggle for the title. "The fire is still burning, a lot is still ahead. The next round will be difficult, so I need to get together quickly. I am ready for it, ready for a big call," she added.
Svitolina also expressed confidence in her readiness for the next match, in particular, from Peyton, which impressed the results at this tournament. The tennis player noted that she loves this tournament and seeks to go even further.
