The Emirates Airlines Dubai Airlines announced new restrictions for passengers, banning carrying pagers and radios on board. This decision was a response to recent events related to the Lebanese Hezbolla Livan Movement, which used explosive devices activated by communication technologies.
This is stated in the statement of the airline, writes Reuters.
"All passengers traveling to, with or through Dubai are forbidden to carry pagers and radios in registered luggage or hand luggage," Emirates Airlines reports.
The company added that any detected prohibited items will be confiscated by Dubai police as part of enhanced security measures.
We will remind, earlier we suggested that such measures will be implemented by airlines after the pagan explosions.
