"Foreign Policy" - Russia's influence in the Middle East is coming to an end.

Foreign Policy reports that the ten -year status of Russia as an arbitrator in the Middle East is coming to completion. Since 2012, Russia has strengthened its position in the region, having performed military intervention in Syria and set itself as a key participant in regional diplomacy.

However, the invasion of Russia into Ukraine in 2022 led to a gradual decrease in the impact of the Kremlin in the Middle East. This caused the loss of Russian international authority and complication of relations with key countries in the region.

It is worth noting that Russia, being pragmatic and cynical, has successfully improved relations with Iran, Israel and Saudi Arabia. However, its hostilities in Ukraine and the reaction to the crisis in Gaza have led to a weakening of Russia's influence in the Middle East.

It is noted that the gas crisis can help determine the future of the region, but probably without significant Moscow intervention. In the light of these events, the role of Russia in the formation of the future of the Middle East becomes less important, and its position as an arbitrator in the region is gradually weakened.
