Since March 2025, Ukraine has changed the rules for providing privileges for housing and communal services. From now on, only those families whose average income do not exceed the established level will receive assistance, reports the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
The main change - in February, the benefits were not accrued, so in March the compensation will be in two months. Household income should not exceed UAH 4.24 thousand per month to be eligible for discounts. The new rules will only extend to those who apply for benefits in 2025. Who receives benefits? Seniors, military, low -income families, large families, some rural residents.
The new principle of calculating benefits does not apply to: combatants (UBD). Persons with disabilities obtained as a result of war. These categories of citizens will receive assistance regardless of income. Citizens who have previously received benefits will use the old conditions by the end of the heating season. Some health pensioners may count on additional payments - you need to apply to the Pension Fund. Victims of the Chernobyl accident receive increased pensions, depending on their status.
Part of the households will lose the right to utilities if their income exceeds the limit level. The state reduces costs by introducing stringent criteria to receive assistance. You who want to issue benefits in 2025 should carefully check their income level before applying. The new rules are more fair to distribute state aid, but they may at the same time limit access to benefits for some of the citizens.
