Israel uses artificial intelligence to select bombing targets in Gaza

The Israeli Army used artificial intelligence to identify gas bombardment facilities, according to the +972 Magazine and Local Call study, which refers to six Israeli intelligence staff.

According to the investigation, the officials who participated in the study stated that a tool based on artificial intelligence, known as Lavender, has a 10%error.

The Center for the Armed Forces of Israel (Tsakhal) did not refute the existence of the instrument, but denied its use to identify objects. They noted that analysts should conduct independent expertise to check whether the identified goals are consistent with the relevant definition under international law and domestic directives.

The author of the investigation, Juval Abraham, previously told CNN in January about how the Israeli military "relied on artificial intelligence to define goals for such murders with very small manual participation."

According to the study, the Israeli army "systematically attacked" goals in buildings, usually at night when they had people. These attacks have led to the fact that thousands of Palestinians, mostly women and children or people who did not participate in the battles were destroyed by Israeli Air Force.

The report also states that the tanal often used unmanaged missiles for attacks on predictable purposes, especially when young militants were there.

The tile states that they avoid blows when the expected civilian casualties are unacceptable compared to military benefits and seek to reduce the damage to the civilian population as far as possible.
