The Cabinet of Ministers approved the strategy of veteran policy until 2030

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the strategy of veteran policy for the period until 2030 and approved the operational plan for its implementation. As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized, this is a key document that defines all aspects of the state's interaction with veterans — from the return to civilian life to the active contribution of veterans to the development of communities and the country.

  1. Welfare of veterans and their families
    • Provision of social guarantees, quality treatment, rehabilitation, housing, employment, business opportunities and education.
  2. Respect and honor
    • Recognition of the contribution of veterans to the defense of the country, commemoration of fallen heroes and popularization of the veteran movement.
  3. Strengthening national security
    • Integration of experience of veterans into the national security system, development of national resistance and strengthening of national identity.

The government also approved an updated program of free dentures for veterans. Now defenders can receive assistance in the amount of up to 25,000 hryvnias . The program has already been used by about 11,000 people, and its effect will be continued.

"The veteran policy strategy is a roadmap for supporting those who have defended and continue to defend our country. It is aimed at returning soldiers to a full-fledged civilian life, ensuring their well-being and honoring their heroic contribution," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
