The Treasury of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and three people who looked like priests were detained when trying to illegally cross the border of Ukraine with Moldova. For obtaining the service of crossing the border "conductors" demanded $ 12 thousand.
According to the State Border Service, a group of people was detained near the border with Moldova. Among the three people who looked like priests, two were false, and one of them was an active cleric of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Moscow Patriarchate, earlier-Archpriest in the Treasury of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
The "conductors" promised to hold a group secret trails across the border, but in fact, they organized a boat excursion to Lake Kagal, where they were planted on the opposite bank. For this service, "pilgrims" had to pay $ 4,000 for each.
The border guards of the Izmail detachment explained to "tourists" that Ukraine is not Moldova, and drawn up protocols on administrative offenses for attempting to illegally cross the state border.
