In Sumy region, a curious incident occurred when the utilities accidentally threw out a package with 6,000 euros, considering it souvenir banknotes. The package was found on the street in the central part of the city, but because of the doubt about the authenticity of money, utility workers simply threw it into the trash.
The owner of the package, which soon discovered the loss, turned to utilities to find out where his money went. After he was explained that the garbage had already been taken to the dump, the man went there in search of. Although the public utilities did not believe that the ejected banknotes could be real, the searches were successful. The lost package was found and all 6 thousand euros remained intact.
The joyful owner of the package not only thanked the employees, but also handed them 1000 UAH in gratitude. However, the police reported that they did not receive a statement about the disappearance of the package from the money, which makes this case even more unusual.
