The leaders EU member states to provide stable and long-term support to Ukraine, including financial and military assistance.
In a statement, they called on the EU to fulfill its promises and provide Ukraine with the necessary economic and financial support to ensure vital services for citizens and rebuild the economy after the war. The signatories also emphasized their steadfast support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In connection with the increasing intensity of Russian attacks on Ukraine, the leaders of the European Parliament expressed indignation and warned against the fact that Russia intends to continue its aggressive war.
Political leaders have identified several specific measures that the EU should take. In particular, the European Council should coordinate the economic and financial support provided by the Fund for Ukraine. They also called for increased production, joint procurement and supply of weapons and ammunition needed by Ukraine.
According to the statement, the EU must continue to show determination in supporting Ukraine in the liberation of its people and the restoration of full control over the territory within internationally recognized borders. The leaders signed a statement confirming their commitment to the security of not only Ukraine, but also the entire European continent.
