A Spitfire crashed during the Battle of Britain commemoration event

The Spitfire aircraft fell on a field in a Lincolnshire during an event dedicated to commemoration of the battle for Britain. According to the information published in The Independent, police and emergency services arrived at the scene on Saturday at 13:20 in accordance with the report on the fall of the Second World War.

Police Lincolnshir said that the aircraft had only one passenger, and no one else was involved in this accident. Drivers were urged to avoid the area through road overlap.

The crash, known as Supermarine Spitfire, was used during and after the Second World War. Developed by RD Mitchell, he played a decisive role in the battle for Britain, where he helped repel the air attacks of Luftwaffe.

A spokesman for the royal air forces said: "We have been informed of an incident in the Connglesby Air Force area with aircraft of the royal military air forces. We work with emergency rescue services and support the victims. Further information will be provided in the near future."

This is not the first case of spitfire aircraft. Last August, a pilot was killed when Spitfire replica crashed in Oxfordshire in Oxfordshire.

Currently, the royal military-air forces operate six Supermarine Spitfire aircraft as part of the Battle of Battle Memorial Flight.
