On November 13, 2023, Ukrainians received new information on the order of mobilization in the country, which became the subject of attention not only to the military but also to the public as a whole. The lawyer and leading legal adviser of Nota Group, Anton Marynich, revealed some nuances and conditions of mobilization for men from 18 to 60 years.
During the general mobilization, military service may be called for military service. Other citizens are allowed to voluntarily enter into a contract, said the lawyer.
Confirming this, Anton Marynich stressed that teenagers should go to the territorial center of equipment and social support at the age of 17 years for military accounting. This is a necessary step in the military journey, including a medical commission and a military accounting document. After that, teenagers are issued a registration to the conscription station, which indicates their willingness to enter into military registration.
According to the Law on Mobilization Training and Mobilization, conscripts and reservists may be called during mobilization.
"As for the mobilization of conscripts, it can be argued that they do not fall under the category of citizens who can mobilize. If the conscript has the desire to pass military service, he can voluntarily conclude a contract," the lawyer said.
It is important to note that citizens who have reached the age of 60 are not mobilized because of reaching the age of being in stock.
"Such men are subject to exclusion after reaching the age.
Anton Marynich also stressed that men aged 18 to 60 can enter into a contract if they meet the established military service requirements, including the age of 18, the presence of full or basic general secondary education, and suitability for health.
It is important to note that students have a delay from mobilization only for the period of study. While citizens who are not temporarily not students can be written out, as well as cases that allow you not to come to the territorial center of equipment and social support in the presence of relevant certificates and documents.
