The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved the provision of another $ 400 million financial tranche to Ukraine. This was reported by the Fund's press service on March 28.
According to the statement, the IMF Executive Council completed the seventh review of the program within the expanded funding mechanism (EFF), which allowed Ukraine to allocate additional funds for budget support to Ukraine. The total amount of money allocated within the program is now $ 10.1 billion.
Despite the challenges, Ukraine's economy demonstrates endurance, and the EFF remains high. The IMF stressed that in order to maintain macroeconomic stability, fiscal and debt, it is necessary to continue reforms, mobilize internal income and ensure timely external assistance.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as part of the EFF program, calculated for 2023-2027, seven tranches with a total volume of about $ 9.8 billion from the planned $ 15.5 billion has already been received to the state budget.
