"No one wants to die", - Ukrainians understand the "evaders"

The last survey conducted by sociological agencies in Ukraine revealed a rather contradictory attitude of citizens to the possibility of mobilization in the event of a threat to the country. According to the survey, 54% of Ukrainians showed a willingness to "understand the evasion" in the event of a need for military service, which, according to experts, is a "significant challenge" for the state.

According to more than half of Ukrainians, people who do not want to mobilize can be treated with understanding. Moreover, in this matter, the greatest loyalty in the inhabitants of southern Ukraine. Such results were shown by a survey of the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine with the Association of Political Psychologists of Ukraine, which were presented at Interfax-Ukraine.

It is noted that 53.9% of respondents agreed with the statements that "those who evade mobilization can be understood" because "no one wants to die." 17.2% did not agree with this and about 29% could not give a specific answer.

Moreover, the evil people are ready to understand more than 70% of residents of the southern regions who participated in the survey.

At the same time, 43% of Ukrainians declared a shame for men who are in no hurry to join the Armed Forces. The results of the study indicate that in the south of Ukraine there are almost half.

According to sociologists, in Ukraine, mobilization is extremely ambiguous, which can be considered "a significant challenge for the military-political leadership of the state."

The poll was conducted between March 1-15, the Face-to-Face method, and 2000 respondents from the age of 18 and older in Ukraine-controlled territory took part in it. The sample error rate is 3.2%.

On January 30 of this year, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine began consideration of the bill on mobilization aimed at resolving legislation in the sphere of conscription during martial law. The authors of the document propose to introduce summonses through the e -cabinet of the conscript, to reduce the conscript age to 25 years, to provide for time for demobilization, to introduce voluntary mobilization for persons deprived of liberty, restrictions for evasion, prohibit public service without military training, etc.

On February 7, the deputies approved the Bill No. 10449 on the strengthening of mobilization in the first reading. At the same time, more than 4,000 amendments were submitted to the second reading by the people's deputies.

On February 27, the Parliamentary Committee on National Security began considering these amendments to the bill.

On March 29, the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada completed the consideration of all 4,269 amendments to the mobilization bill. According to the People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the document will be made to the second reading in two weeks.
