On June 1, 2025, new restrictions on money transfers will come into force in Ukraine Banks will reduce limits for financial transactions for most clients - both on card account transfers and through the IBAN system .
The changes are provided by a memorandum that Ukrainian banks have signed under the auspices of the National Bank of Ukraine ( NBU). The document is placed on the official portal of the regulator. The limit on the output transfers for clients who are classified as having a " low" or " average" risk level will decrease from UAH 150,000 to 100 000 UAH per month. For clients with “ high risk”, restrictions will remain unchanged - 50 000 UAH per month. These restrictions will be applied to both P2P- transfers between individuals and payments for details ( IBAN) through online banking or in banks .
Banks leave the possibility of individual increase in the limit - but only if the supporting are provided . Customers will need to provide information about the source and amount their income. Among the documents that will accept: CP5 and OK7 certificates from the Pension Fund or Social School; tax returns; salary information ; documents on obtaining social payments; certificates of income members ; Volunteer documents ( in particular if the client operates significant amounts in favor of the Armed Forces or Humanities ) .
Such requirements are part of the overall strengthening of financial monitoring in martial law and combating shadow schemes .
