New fines in Ukraine: what awaits citizens and businesses for curfew violations

The law registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposes to establish administrative responsibility for violation of the requirements related to the curfew and other legal measures of the martial law. These measures are taken to ensure public safety and order under conditions where martial law is declared or a special regime is introduced in the country.

According to the amendments offered, the penalties for violation of the curfew will be as follows:

  • Citizens: from 8500 to 17 000 UAH.
  • Business (economic entities), including individuals-entrepreneurs, for violation of the modes of light-passing or regime of work in the respective territory during martial law: from 51,000 to 102 000 UAH.

These penalties are proposed to be charged in the form of non -taxable minimum incomes of citizens. It is obvious that the purpose of this bill is to achieve strict observance of security measures during the curfew and during the period of martial law to ensure public well -being and security.

The bill was developed jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine, and its purpose is to strengthen the control over compliance with rules and restrictions during periods when martial law or other security measures are introduced in the territory of Ukraine.

This bill will allow you to punish violators more severely and promote security and order in the country in conditions where it is especially important.
