In Kiev, a temporary restriction of the traffic of the blue branch of the metro for half a year is introduced due to the repair of the distillation tunnel between the stations "Demiyivska" and "Teremki". According to the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration, the restriction will come into force on December 9.
Trains will run between the stations "Heroes of the Dnieper" and "Libidska". Restrictions on the "Teremki" - "Demiyivska" are introduced due to the urgent need to repair the distillation tunnel. The train movement on this segment will be completely stopped until the work is completed.
In order to ensure the transportation of passengers during this period, duplicate routes of land transport from the metro station "Teremka" to "Libidskaya". It is also important to note that the metro stations "Demiyivska", "Holosiivska", "Vasylkivska", "Exhibition Center", "Hippodrome" and "Teremki" will continue round -the -clock work in the shelter mode.
The reason for the restriction of train movement is the risk of loss of stability of tunnel structures due to uneven processes of detachment and load on the tunnel frame. Tunnels were built from 2008 to 2010 underground ways in difficult mining and geological conditions of the Libid River.
According to preliminary calculations, work on recovery will last about 6 months and will be carried out on the surface of the Earth. Experts plan to perform the necessary examinations, research and engineering surveys to determine the causes of emergency and implement urgent measures to stabilize structures and restore the work of the subway line on this segment.
This restriction of train movement is a forced measure to avoid further problems and ensure the safety of passengers in the capital.
