The evacuation of children in the city of Avdiivka, which is in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine, was completed, said Mayor Vitaliy Barabash. It is stated that the last 12-year-old boy, who was not previously found, was successfully evacuated.
Together with rescuers and volunteers, a search was made for a long time to identify the boy and his family. For four months, until the evacuation lasted, the family did not receive humanitarian aid.
The mayor also stated sufficient products in the city for two and a half months. Although supply occurs in small batches, special attention is paid to constant delivery of fresh bread weekly. At the time of December 3, there were 1295 inhabitants in the city.
This evacuation has become an important step in ensuring the safety of Avdiivka residents in the conditions of armed conflict, which continues in the region.
