In the near future, a significant reduction in the cost of fuel is expected in Ukraine - up to 3 UAH per liter. This reduction will be possible due to the falling of world oil prices. According to the forecasts, fuel prices will decrease within a month, which was confirmed by the director of the consulting company "A-95" Sergey Kuyun on the air of the TV channel "Kyiv24".
According to him, the price of oil in the world markets is significantly reduced, which directly affects the cost of fuel in Ukraine, because most of the resource is purchased abroad. If oil prices remain at about $ 65 per barrel for a few more weeks, Ukrainians can see the first changes in the fuel market. "This will mean that the cost of gasoline and diesel fuel for Ukrainians will decrease," the expert said. However, the situation with liquefied gas is more complicated. In addition to oil prices, pricing for auto gas depends on the demand from the petrochemical industry, which can also affect the prices of this type of fuel.
According to the latest data, the average price of fuel in Ukraine on April 7 was 55 UAH per liter. Prices for oil in the world continue to fall, and in particular, on April 7, the Brent oil futures decreased by 3% compared to the previous month, reaching the price of $ 64.17 per barrel. Similarly, futers for American oil West Texas Intermediate lost $ 1.35, falling to $ 60.64 a barrel.
