Since January 2025, the Pension Fund of Ukraine begins paying compensation to citizens who provide housing to internally displaced persons (IDPs) for free. This is provided by the lists provided by the Ministry of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers approved by the Resolution No. 1544 of December 31, 2024, the Pension Fund will also begin consideration of applicants from the new applicants and make a decision on the appointment of compensation as early as March 1, 2025.
Compensation in the amount of 450 hryvnias per internally displaced person is provided to individuals - citizens of Ukraine, who provide their living premises for the IDPs for free.
Payments will be automatically continued for citizens who have previously received such compensations. It is not necessary to refer to the Pension Fund again, since their data have already been entered in the relevant lists.
The transfer of functions to payment of compensation to the Pension Fund was made possible by making changes to the procedure for compensation for the costs approved by the Cabinet resolution. This decision is aimed at centralization and optimization of the payments process to ensure a quick and convenient assistance to citizens.
