North Korea has announced the successful receipt of the first space images from its new military intelligence satellite "Malligan-1", which was recently launched in the Earth's orbit. According to the information released by the North Korean state -owned KCNA news agency and reports of Yonhap, space images received at 9:21 show Andersen and Havan APRA on the US island of GUAM, where one of the largest military bases of the US Navy is located.
Authorities in Pyongyang states that the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong -in, after watching the pictures, expressed the need to launch additional reconnaissance satellites. This, he said, will allow the DPRK army to sufficiently information about the enemy in real time to increase the operational capabilities.
Kim Jong -in identified the launch of the satellite as a significant event, arguing that the North Korean soldiers now have the ability to receive information from a long distance and have a powerful "fist", which can operate a considerable distance. Others, apparently, refute to a spider satellite and intercontinental ballistic missiles of a long range.
KCNA reports that the satellite will officially start its mission on December 1 after the completion of the process, which can take up to 10 days.
