Paul Martin is released from the post of USAID General Inspector

The White House dismissed the USA General Inspector of International Development (USAID) Paul Martin on Tuesday night. It happened after his office published a report evaluating the consequences of Donald Trump's administration to reduce the agency's activities.

Martin was informed of his dismissal by email from Trenot Morse, Deputy Director of the Presidential Presidential Presidential Office. Martin managed a staff of 275 people, including a dozen offices abroad.

This decision became part of the staffing, which was started by the Trump administration after the President released 17 general inspectors. Martin led USAID after Joe Biden was appointed in December 2023.

Martin's dismissal was published after the report stating that more than $ 489 million was under threat of loss or misuse due to freezing assistance by the Trump administration.
