Fedir Shandor, known as "Professor from the Okopa" will soon be appointed ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, at a press conference. According to him, the delay in the appointment arose due to the need to release Shandor from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was already resolved with the help of a legal model. In addition, the procedure of special inspections took place, and, according to the minister, the appointment of a "professor from the trench" to the post will be in the near future.
Doctor of Philosophical and Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Fedor Sandor has been working at Uzhgorod National University for over 20 years. In 2020 he was elected a deputy of the Transcarpathian Regional Council and heads the faction of the "servant of the people". At the beginning of 2022, in reaction to military events, Sandor joined the 68th United Territorial Defense Battalion of the 101st Transcarpathian Brigade.
