In Kiev, a pre-trial investigation into the circumstances of the death of a 7-year-old boy who died in a dental chair of a private clinic. Law enforcement officers found that after the introduction of anesthesia, the child stopped the heart, and two -hour resuscitation measures did not produce results.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office on its Facebook page.
The tragedy happened during a planned visit to the dentist. After the introduction of anesthesia, the boy suddenly stopped the heart. Doctors called an ambulance and tried to resuscitate the baby within two hours, but it was not possible to save it. Currently, the causes of death are unknown. Investigators find out if the tragedy could happen through a medical mistake or improper quality of medical services.
The Svyatoshinsky Police Department conducts a pre -trial investigation into the death of the child. In case of guilt of medical workers, they are threatened with criminal liability under part 2 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This may mean restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for up to three years with a ban on holding certain positions. The investigation is ongoing, and only after the examination will it be known that it was the cause of the tragedy.
