The International Criminal Court in the Hague issued warrants for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyag and former Defense Minister Joava Galant. This decision provoked a sharp reaction of President of Israel Izhak Duke, who called him outrageous and unscrupulous.
The President of Israel said that the decision of the ISS is turning justice into a "general smile" and is a "black day for justice and humanity." He accused the court of using the justice system as a living shield for the Palestinian movement of Hamas:
"The ISS ignores numerous hostages and victims among the Israeli people, as well as the fact of Hamas attack on Israel."
According to the Duke, the actions of the International Criminal Court are biased, as they do not take into account the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including attacks by Hamas. The President stressed that this position of the court only discredits the system of international justice.
