Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin again declared his readiness to negotiate with Ukraine, but at the same time staged conditions that actually negate the very possibility of dialogue. In an interview with the propagandist Pavel Zarubin on January 28, he noted that he was ready to "allocate people" for negotiations, but President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, he said, cannot participate in them because of his "illegitimacy".
"It is possible to negotiate with anyone, but if he (Zelensky) wants to participate, then I will distinguish such people who will lead these negotiations," Putin said, emphasizing that the signing of the final documents should guarantee "Safety of both Ukraine and Russia."
The Kremlin is trying to promote the narrative that Zelensky's decree to ban negotiations with the Russian Federation should be canceled before any dialogue. This is invested in the traditional tactics of Moscow - to translate responsibility to Kiev, giving aggression for the "conflict that can be resolved."
Separately, Putin again expressed the opinion that without the help of the event, Ukraine will not be able to fight, saying: “If money is stopped and, in a broad sense, the ammunition will end in a month and a half or two. In this sense, Ukraine's sovereignty is almost zero. ”
Such dictator statements are part of a broader information campaign aimed at pressure to the West and discrediting the Ukrainian authorities. The Kremlin continues to use any opportunity to create the illusion of its "readiness for peace", without stopping aggression on the battlefield.
