Russia has declared a lack of grounds for negotiation with Ukraine to end the war. The Russian dictator spokesman Dmitry Peskov rejected the possibility of dialogue in his statements, despite Ukraine's efforts to demonstrate his readiness for negotiations.
"There is no reason to negotiate so far," Peskov said. At the same time, he noted that Russia "repeatedly declared openness to dialogue."
According to the Kremlin representative, a number of countries have expressed his willingness to become a platform for such negotiations. "We are grateful to all countries for such good will, including Qatar," Peskov added.
These statements contrast with President of Ukraine President Vladimir Zelensky, who has repeatedly emphasized Ukraine's readiness for negotiations, subject to the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
This position of Russia testifies to the Kremlin's unwillingness to make real compromises and delayed the conflict, leaving Ukraine and the international community before the need to increase pressure on the aggressor.
