The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine revealed and exposed illegal activities for production and sale of alcohol on an industrial scale in Vinnytsia region. Three residents of Mogilev-Podilsky are suspected of illegal production, which lasted for almost 10 years.
The DBR staff began investigating this case in October 2022 and believed that this criminal organization imitated the production of alcohol well-known brands and implemented it through websites. Delivery of products was carried out using postal operators. According to the DBR, the circulation of this illegal alcoholic business reached 300 thousand hryvnias a day, of which participants received more than 9 million hryvnias on a monthly basis.
In order to hide the received funds, suspects invested them in real estate and valuable transport. For example, they purchased five apartments in Kiev, three homes, one apartment in Vinnitsa, as well as luxury cars worth about UAH 15 million.
As a result of the searches that took place on October 24, law enforcement officers seized rough accounting, phones and computer equipment in the suspects. "The defendants have been declared suspicion, and the possible involvement in the scheme of law enforcement officers who could cover the illegal business," the DBR said.
