Republicans warn about limiting American aid to Ukraine

According to information from The Hill, some Republican representatives say that this week's newly adopted package of American aid to Ukraine will be the last. Senator James David Vance said it is impossible to expect an additional $60 billion from the United States Congress.

"If Ukraine thinks it will receive an additional $60 billion from the United States Congress, it is impossible," said Senator James David Vance (Republican from Ohio), who led the opposition among Republicans in the Senate against supporting Ukraine.

Senator Lindsey Graham (Republican) said the next aid package would have to be structured as a loan.

"The credit component will be larger, not smaller. If you want more for Ukraine in the future, it will rather be a loan," he said.

In the current package for 61 billion, 9.5 billion of economic aid was allocated in the form of a loan.

Congressmen are sure that closer to the end of the year, the issue of new aid allocation will arise. Because this, as White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said, will last only until the end of 2024.

The Hill believes that support for Ukraine will be a major issue in this year's presidential and congressional elections. And it will largely depend on these elections in November.
