Russian General was killed as a result of a car explosion near Moscow

In the Moscow region in the city of Balashikha there was an explosion of a car, which resulted in Major General Yaroslav Moskalik-Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Office of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was reported on April 25 by Russian media and telegrams.

According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred at the moment when Muscovik came out of the entrance. The Volkswagen car was blown up with a homemade explosive device that was laid inside the car near the gas -balancing equipment. The device was activated remotely.

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the fact of the explosion and death of the general. Investigators, criminalists and experts, as well as law enforcement officers, arrived at the scene.

Upon the event, a criminal case was initiated under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - "intentional murder" (Article 105) and "illegal circulation of explosives " (Art. 222.1).

Major General Yaroslav Moskalik held one of the key positions in the Russian General Staff, responsible for the operational planning of hostilities. Its death can have significant consequences for the structure of the Armed Forces command, especially in the conditions of a full -scale war against Ukraine.
