The Minister of Energy of Ukraine stressed that the Russian forces continue the militarization of the station and surrounding occupied territories.
Russia has not abandoned plans to restart the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP and illegally integrate it into the power system of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Ukraine has reliable evidence. Public statements of Rosatom's management confirm their intention to restart the station under Russian control, despite trying to mislead the CEO of IAEA, - said Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
He stressed that any such actions are a gross violation of international law and a direct threat to nuclear security.
According to him, all six power units remain in a state of "cold stop", as required by the State Inspectorate of Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine.
Galushchenko also stressed that the Russian forces continue the militarization of the station and surrounding occupied territories, using them as a base for artillery shelling of Ukraine -controlled areas.
In addition, he noted that Russia continues to interfere with the work of the IAEA experts at the Zaporozhye NPP, breaking the planned rotation of members of the mission several times in February.
