President of the Russian Federation Volodymyr Putin declared Russia's readiness for negotiations with Ukraine, but expressed doubt about the legitimacy of the current President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
“We understand that the legitimacy of the incumbent president has ended. Russia should understand with whom and need to deal with the signing of documents when restoring negotiations with Ukraine, ”Putin said in Minsk.
He repeated that Moscow is ready for negotiations "only on the basis of today's realities in the area of special operation." That is, with the fixation of territorial conquests.
Putin accused the event in disruption. He argues that Istanbul arrangements in 2022 were arranged by both Kiev and Moscow.
And he added that the negotiations can be returned, "based on the already reached (in Istanbul - ed.)".
“We see that talking again about the need to return to Ukraine negotiations. Let them come back, ”Putin said.
