In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian military discovered an unfamiliar Russian drone. A similar device was also spotted on another frontal direction. This was announced by Ukrainian military and communications officer Serhii Bezkrestnov in his Telegram channel under the call sign "Flash".
Bezkrestnov shared photos and information about the found drone. The images show that the UAV has large dimensions and an unconventional design with two pairs of wings.
On October 16, 2023, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia, Gleb Nikitin, announced the transfer of such drones to the Russian occupation forces in Ukraine. According to him, the drone was developed by the Regional Industrial Company LLC (RPK) from the city of Nizhny Novgorod and is intended for remote demining and hitting targets at a distance of up to 20 km.
Currently, there is no official information about the name, technical characteristics and features of the use of this drone. However, it is known that the company behind its development was registered in Nizhny Novgorod in 2015 and specializes in the production of spare parts for motor vehicles.
