On the night of Thursday, Russia launched another missile attack on Ukraine, which caused a large-scale air alert. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the take-off of MiG-31K and Tu-95 aircraft that rose to launch missiles. Initially, the threat of using ballistic missiles was announced, but later it was clarified that it was about cruise missiles.
According to the information of the Armed Forces, the first missiles entered the airspace of Ukraine around 6:30 in the morning, after which several waves of attacks took place. According to the Air Force, the cruise missiles moved through the Chernihiv region to the southwest, and then changed course in the direction of Kyiv region and Poltava region.
In particular, at 5:22 a.m., the threat due to the takeoff of the MiG-31K was specified, and at 5:44 a.m. Tu-95 aircraft were reported in the air. At 5:47 a.m. it was reported about possible launches of Kh-101 cruise missiles from Tu-95s in the Engels area. At 6:41 a.m., new cruise missiles were detected in the north of the country through Chernihiv Oblast, and at 6:53 a.m. the missiles moved to the Poltava region.
While there are no official reports of exact destruction or casualties as a result of this attack, the attack continues to pose a serious threat to Ukraine's infrastructure.
