British director Sam Mendes, known for his works on the films "007: spectrum", "Beauty in American" and "1917", announced a new large-scale project-Baopik about the legendary band The Beatles. The uniqueness of the tape is that it will consist of four separate films, each of which will be dedicated to the life of one of the band members.
The films will reveal John Lennon's personal and creative path, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starra. The tapes will be removed as part of a single cinematic project, but each of them will receive their own focus and talk about different aspects of the life of musicians.
According to preliminary data, the lead roles will play:
- Paul Meskal - Paul McCartney
- Harris Dicinson - John Lennon
- Joseph Quinn - George Harrison
- Barry Keogan - Ringo Starr
One of the most important details of the project was that Sam Mendes was given exclusive rights to use The Beatles music. This is the first time that all members of the band and their heirs granted permission to create a feature film with official musical support.
All four movies are expected to be released in April 2028. It is not yet known whether they will be released at the same time, or with a certain time interval, such as one movie per week.
