Forward to the world of the Shevchenko Scholarship! The government approved the payment of scholarships named after Taras Shevchenko to students of general educational institutions. Every gifted student awarded this scholarship will be able to receive 2,720 hryvnias every month.
These scholarships are established to spread and increase the prestige of the Ukrainian language and literature among the younger generation. The scholarship will be paid throughout the year, starting in September.
Candidates for these scholarships are nominated by the Ministry of Education and Science. The draft decree is considered by the government and signed by the president. Talented students, winners of All-Ukrainian Olympiads in Ukrainian language and literature are awarded with the name of Taras Shevchenko. This year, ten students will receive these significant scholarships.
This is aimed at supporting and recognizing the efforts of students who stand out for their achievements in Ukrainian education.
