From February 1, 2025, mobilization will continue in Ukraine, which covers both men and women. At the same time, the military service for women will remain voluntary, and the new law defines clear rules and conditions for those who want to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces).
Under the new rules, women who want to serve in the Armed Forces are obliged to put on military account. This means that they must submit the relevant documents to the military enlistment offices, undergo a medical commission and obtain the status of conscripts. To do this, women must also undergo basic military training, which is an important step in the way of service. It should be noted that military accounting requirements apply to women who have medical or pharmaceutical education and are adults. The only exception may be cases where a person's health does not allow him to keep records. Mobilization for women in Ukraine in 2025 does not provide forced conscription. According to the updated law, women can enter the Armed Forces exclusively on a voluntary basis. That is, if a citizen of Ukraine wants to serve in the army, it has the opportunity to conclude a contract and serve at their own request. In addition, the law enables women who are able to undergo health and age restrictions, to conclude a contract for military service, including basic military training. According to new standards, women may be exempted from service in the event of pregnancy or need for child care. This allows you to take into account the characteristics of motherhood and support women in such important life situations.
Since the beginning of February 2025, the mobilization of women will continue on the same principles as before, with one important difference - voluntary entry into service. However, even in the absence of compulsory conscription, women must fulfill a number of formal requirements in order to become a conscript, as well as be able to conclude a contract and undergo basic training.
