An important meeting between key representatives of the US Presidential Administration Donald Trump and the French authorities will take place in the France's capital. According to Politico , US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and a special White House Representative for Conflict Settlement in Ukraine and Gaza Steve Vitcoff sector will arrive in Paris.
Vitcoff is expected to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron, while Rubio will negotiate with French Foreign Minister Jean-Naol Barro.
According to a source familiar with the preparation of a visit, the situation in Ukraine, Iran, as well as trade policy between Europe and the USA.
Of particular importance to negotiations is the context of a recent visit to Vitcoff to Moscow, where he had a personal conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. A potential truce in Ukraine and possible diplomatic steps to cease fire were discussed.
For his part, Emmanuel Macron continues to actively promote the idea of strengthening Ukraine's support, including security guarantees. Initiatives include the opportunity to deploy an international military contingent in the Ukrainian territory in case of a truce.
The French authorities are counting on close coordination with the new US administration, in particular in the context of changing political dynamics in Washington after Donald Trump's return to the White House.
