The US State Department has approved the sale of Israel's weapons and military equipment totaling almost $ 3 billion. This was reported by the US Department of Defense for Defense Cooperation and Security (DSCA). Supplies are expected to begin in 2026, although the Pentagon states that some of these purchases can be made from US reserves, which will allow some deliveries to be started earlier.
The first package worth more than $ 2 billion includes 35 529 bombs for 2000-funtain bombs and 4000 bunker 2000-funta bombs from the General Dynamics concern. These deliveries are part of a wide program for the provision of Israel with modern means to maintain defense.
The second package worth $ 675 million consists of five thousand 1000-fuel bombs and kits for guidance, with a supply plan by 2028.
The third package includes Caterpillar D9 bulldozers worth $ 295 million.
These weapons supply support the US strategic support for Israel in ensuring its defense capability. Given the difficult geopolitical situation in the region, such cooperation is of great importance for the national security of Israel.
