On May 9, the Kiev district court of Kharkiv issued a sentence to two men who tried to hide the circumstances of a deadly road accident involving the copist of businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky. About it reports Kharkiv Media Status Quo.
On February 9, 2022, on the Kiev-Kharkiv highway, the Mercedes-Benz G-63 AMG driver, owned by BADM LLC, moving at a speed of 113 km/h, ran into a pedestrian. As a result of an accident, the pedestrian died in place from numerous injuries.
After the accident, the driver turned to his acquaintance, Alexander Berezhny from Dergach, that he would come with another car. Berezhny later took the blame behind the wheel of the Mercedes on himself and even confessed police, but the investigation found that he was not driving at the time of attack.
Both of the accused were found guilty of articles on concealment of a serious crime. The driver was also tried for leaving the victim in danger, but due to the limitation period, this article was canceled.
Men were appointed three years of imprisonment conditionally with a probationary period.
The sentence can be appealed in the Kharkiv Court of Appeal for 30 days.
