A supercomputer with artificial intelligence will increase the efficiency of the US government

The MITER think tank, which is a strategic partner of the Pentagon and US intelligence, together with the Nvidia company, begins the construction of a supercomputer worth $ 20 million, which is designed to accelerate the implementation of artificial intelligence in government structures.

Known as an AI sandbox, the project aims to improve all aspects of public administration, from healthcare systems to taxation.

Charles Clancy, senior vice president of MITRE, notes that excessive bureaucracy slows down the implementation of solutions. This project is aimed at solving such problems as ensuring the sustainability of the Medicare program and simplifying the filing of tax returns.

The supercomputer, located in Virginia, will begin its work at the end of this year. Even though the MITER machine is inferior in size to giants like Frontier (with 37,888 GPUs), it has 256 GPUs from Nvidia - enough to train powerful AI models for government needs.

This sandbox will be available to all federal agencies that fund MITRE.
