US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga, during which he stated that Donald Trump intends to complete the war as soon as possible. The conversation of high -ranking officials is reported on the US State Department website.
"The secretary stressed that US President Donald Trump is determined to put an end to the war as soon as possible, and stressed that all parties should take steps to ensure a sustainable peace," the official publication said.
Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga also informed about this conversation. According to him, the parties also discussed the future meeting of Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia.
The White House states that Trump is set to achieve just and strong peace through diplomatic talks. The issue of peaceful settlement is expected to be a key topic of future negotiations between the US and Ukraine.
